What to include in your request
- Furniture and household storage
- Boxes and loose contents
- Accessible shelving
- Partial or full unit cleanouts
Empty the unit or clear just part of it
You can keep the items you still need and have Bearcat remove the rest. Identify what stays before the pickup, especially documents, photographs, valuables and boxes that have not been opened. A full unit and a few bulky pieces require different loading plans.
Send a photo from the doorway and closer views of material hidden behind the first row. Unit dimensions are useful, but the amount and type of contents matter more than the floor size alone.
Plan around the facility's access
Ground-level units with a nearby parking area are different from interior units reached by a corridor or elevator. Include the floor, walking distance, gate hours and any restrictions on trailers or commercial vehicles. Confirm access with the facility before choosing a pickup time.
- Arrange a working gate code or meet the crew
- Confirm loading and elevator access
- Identify the unit and the items approved for removal
- Tell us your move-out deadline when requesting the quote
Know what can leave in the load
Furniture, boxes and compatible household contents can be assessed together. Keep paint, liquids, chemicals and other excluded materials separate. You must be authorized to have the contents removed; Bearcat's pickup does not settle ownership questions or the storage facility's rental account.
Questions about storage unit cleanouts
Can you clear only part of my storage unit?
Yes. Point out or label what stays, and send photos of the items you want removed. The quote covers the agreed contents.
Do I need to be at the facility?
Discuss this when scheduling. The crew needs confirmed access, clear removal instructions and any authorization required by the facility.
Will removing the contents close my storage rental?
No. Confirm the facility's move-out requirements and account closure directly with its office.
