Condition comes first
Clean, usable furniture and working household items can have different options from broken, incomplete or contaminated pieces. Send clear photos and describe damage, moisture or missing parts honestly. Keep potential reuse items separate from loose debris when practical.
Acceptance belongs to the receiving organization or facility. A pickup appointment does not guarantee that a particular item will be donated, recycled or accepted by a specific recipient.
Keep recyclable materials identifiable
Cardboard, metal, appliances and vegetation may need different destinations or processing. Mixed loads, wet material and contamination can limit the available options. Identify each material type when requesting the quote.
Appliances and equipment can involve special handling. Do not assume that everything made of metal, or every electronic device, belongs in the same recycling load. Ask about the specific item before scheduling.
Tell us what matters before pickup
If you have a preferred donation recipient or recycling requirement, discuss it before the job is booked. Confirm the recipient's acceptance and any delivery arrangements rather than relying on an assumption after the material has left your property.
If a donation receipt or documentation is important to you, ask the receiving organization about its process. Do not assume that a hauling invoice serves as a donation receipt.
Keep excluded waste out of the load
Paint, liquids, chemicals, tanks, cylinders and other excluded materials cannot be mixed into an ordinary Bearcat pickup. Keep them separate and ask your local waste program about appropriate handling for the specific material.
The Items We Take page lists common accepted and excluded materials. Send photos or call if you are uncertain; identifying an item before pickup is much easier than discovering it underneath a loaded pile.
